Local Scholarships Available

The Pompano Beach AAUW is happy to announce we are resuming our support of local young college women seeking financial support. Our funds are available to women who are residents of Broward or Palm Beach County. You must be entering your junior or senior year and intend to complete a degree in a four-year institution. In addition, you must have a GPA of B (3.0) or higher. Financial need is a consideration.

Our Scholarship committee reviews each application and conducts personal or telephone interviews. The number of scholarships awarded depends upon funds raised through special events and individual donations. Our annual Dollars for Scholars luncheon, held in March, is our primary scholarship fundraiser. All monies collected are earmarked for student support. Winners awarded funding are invited to attend our end of the year luncheon in April. This is our mission.
